I'm in school now working on my masters degree in vocational rehabilitation. I am a dyslexic and use a variety of technology to help me. I use drag which is a speech to text program….. all though it does not work very well when you have a cold… also have a zoom text and of course use talking books… most of this equipment can be purchased for you when you when you sign up with her your local vocational rehabilitation Office.

Traditionally when someone speaks publicly they have a list or outline that they use to keep themselves on track. If your having to take notes it really helps me to imagine it backwards. Like... if I was writing his outline what would it be? You'll find that you start to ask yourself the right questions and you'll naturally gravitate towards the meaning of each bullet in the outline. As you do this jot those quick bullets down. If you were talking to yourself about what he's saying while he's saying it, you're a lot more likely to remember it.
