I am in exctatley the same situation but my firm paid for my test in feb 08 but only starting a disiplinary process.

I suggest you friend goes to their local Job Centre Plus and askes about Access to work who will either pay for it and sort out being tested.

working for himself or herself may be another idea to look into

that is what i am setting myself up for now

i am also hiring someone to do my financial paperwork so i can stay focused on my creative ideas
