Subject: I have come to the conclusion

that it's all my fault. I have gone merrily along my way, whistling a happy tune, while the country was losing it's mind. Don't really know what I could've done about it off the top of my head. But on second thought, I could've as you suggested to SG, gone to church and spoke my mind and tried. Could've gone to community meetings, protests, worked for Nader. Maybe Nader was not the man for the job, but I believe he was truly concerned with protecting the constitution, which is my top priority. I took the way of the coward and voted for Al Gore, knowing full well that he wouldn't win no matter what. A vote for Nader would have been a vote for independent thought. I know in my bones that there are a lot of people like me, who know they've wasted their votes, because we let ourselves be convinced that voting our concience was wasting our vote. If my vote doesn't count anyway, then why not make a statement with it?
If enough of us had had the courage of our convictions, we would've encouraged each other.

Too bad I'm so Normal
