Subject: fundraising event

In a few weeks, my college Irish Dance team is going to be doing a pie-in-the-face fundraising event. I assumed that we would just take turns standing in front of the crowd and letting our friends throw pies in our faces. Now, they think it would be funny to let people wander up and shove pies in our faces while we’re actually dancing. The pies are going to be really messy (whipped cream and chocolate pudding), and I’m worried that people might slip. Also, somehow it seems kind of demeaning and disrespectful to what we do. I have never imagined getting a pie in the face in the middle of a performance. Would others be willing to participate in something like this, or would you have concerns?
