Which, by the way, a separate category for non-menstruating girls/women could possibly include people outside those you'd consider to be trans. "Biological male" and "biological female" doesn't cover everyone in the world, even if you don't like that fact, and that's ignoring that there are women who are no less "biologically female" (i.e. afab + has XX chromosomes) than you or I who, for other health reasons, may never, or very seldom, experience a period.

An estimated 1.7% of the world's population is born intersex, and many people find out later in life that their chromosomes don't match how they've been living their entire life (or how they present below the belt) when they have reproductive health difficulties.
For all anyone outside the situation knows (and I assume most everyone upset about this is outside the situation, because it should only concern the dancer, the dancer's family, teachers, medical professionals, and maybe close friends), someone you think is "transitioning" could be trying to get their physical presentation to match what their chromosomes or inner reproductive organs indicate is their "born" gender. Puberty is a common time to find that out, and is part of why doctors ask if girls have undergone menarche yet.
Even if you don't agree with trans people existing, do you really feel anyone should have to share something so deeply personal, especially if it's about their (minor) child? Would you want everyone trying to snoop into your family's business like that? Or would you rather treat others the way you'd wish to be treated?
