1. Might be controversial, but I think the playing field is actually pretty even in terms of ability only for so many more dancers than those that get recognized. These ladies have been dancing FOREVER and know how to have control of their movements, unlike a younger age group with more disparity of knowing where their body is in space
2. Some of the more well-known dancers probably aren’t actually the best anymore, but adjudicators are either biased, afraid to shift the status quo, or a bit of both
