Subject: Why Do We Continue... (read inside)

We know there’s cheating in Irish dance. We’ve seen it. We’ve heard the stories. And yet… we continue.

We continue because Irish dance is what our dancers love.
Because the rhythm, the music, the movement — they light something inside them.

Because standing on the big stage, feeling the adrenaline, hoping for a medal — those moments matter to them.

Because they want the chance to win. Because they like winning.

Because when they hear their name called and step onto that podium, it feels like all their hard work meant something.

Yes, they sometimes complain when the results aren’t fair. When they danced better than the person placed ahead.

And yes, it’s time to help them understand:
Placing isn’t the most important thing.

What matters more is how you danced. How far you’ve come.
How you held your composure under pressure. How your technique, confidence, and artistry have grown.

And let’s not pretend: people see. They notice who is improving, who is exceptional, regardless of scores.

Competing in a system where cheating exists is not ideal.
But it still teaches so much — about perseverance, disappointment, resilience, and character.

About how to keep going when things aren't fair. About standing tall in your truth while others take shortcuts.

We CONDEMN cheating. Those who cheat should be ashamed.

To trade integrity for a fleeting moment of false glory — that’s not victory, that’s loss.

So, why do we continue?

Because our dancers have something real. Something earned.
And no score, no politics, no corrupted system can take that away.

We admire those who stand up and speak out — the dancers, parents, and teachers who refused to stay silent.

We admire the judges who choose honesty over influence, who refuse to participate in corruption.

And we hold on to hope that those in power — those who can make change — will ACT.

That they will restore Irish dancing as it should be: a true art and sport for the public, not a tool for personal gain.

To those with the power to change things: please, do something great.

Use your voice, your influence, your authority — and stop this foolishness.

Bring back fairness. Bring back pride. Bring back the spirit of Irish dance that deserves to shine.

To those who feel bitter because of the cheating — take care of yourself. Don't let it take control of you. Don’t let it turn you into someone you don’t want to be. Protect your love for the dance. Let it fuel your purpose, not your pain.
