Subject: Well done to your daughter! It is indeed possible but is not even close to the norm. You’d be very hard pressed to find many stories of a dancer not making top half in a grades competition recalling and placing in a national qualifying position in solos just a year later.

That’s making a leap that just a handful of dancers would be able to achieve. I would focus on much more realistic goals such as progressing through the grades and just becoming eligible for solos. It could take years to recall and even more to place in a national qualifying spot. Don’t push things too soon and too hard!!
