Subject: I agree with celebrating all dancers, the problem is, in a comp of 15 dancers, does the 15th place dancer really feel celebrated when it is announced she got last place?

I speak from experience. My DD spent a couple of years at the bottom of OC before she crawled her way out. And by bottom, I mean last place pretty much every single feis.

Getting that QF results sheet was horrible for her. Announcing her name as last place would not have been celebrating her but would have been mean-girl level cruelty. Now, everyone knows she got last place.

I get the feis had good intentions and I grateful for all the work they do to put it on feis, so let’s chalk this up to a learning experience.
