Subject: what are identifiers exactly on dresses?

new to the sport. What constitutes an "identifier?" I just see the solo dresses as sparkly and glittery but nothing stands out that would identify a dress from a particular school?

Also, someone mentioned globes (representing worlds lol?) on the dresses themselves. I don't see dresses like that. Unless I don't know what i'm looking at.
