Subject: I’m at the venue today and here is the deal.

Dancers need to order their wristband online (free). They have to show their hotel reservation for that day to get the wristband and the confirmation code from when they ordered their wristband.

Everybody else: there are NO HOTEL WRISTBANDS. You can enter anywhere in the venue except the ballrooms without paying the entry fee to get a daily wristband. You don’t even have to show a hotel reservation. Anyone can enter the venue and access everything except the two ballrooms.

Daily wristbands are needed to enter the ballrooms. I did not get one for today, but I assume you have to show a hotel reservation, but frankly, in the rush of getting people through, they are probably not going to make sure the hotel reservation is in the block.
