A young Irish dancer from Melbourne travelled to Chicago for the World Championships with her mum, Lou. While there, Lou became suddenly and critically unwell and is now in ICU following emergency brain surgery.

Maeve remains by her side in the US as they face a long and uncertain road ahead, far from home.

I know how strong and supportive the Irish community is — both here in Australia and back home — so if you’re in a position to help, or even just share, it would mean a great deal.
