Subject: "Yeah. I know. You tell me every day." She reminded him, but just gently with a reassuring smile and a quick wink - once upon a time they had gotten into daily disagreements whenever he lectured her about working too much. These days, she just brushed it off a lot easier without getting irritated by it. "I'll see if there's anyone available... We're a little short-staffed right now though, so no promises." She warned him just so that he didn't get his hopes up only to be disappointed if there was no one willing to help her out. "Come sit over here... So far away..." She requested a moment later, with a slight pout, her lower lip jutting out - though not so much that it hindered the long sip that she then took of her drink.

'Cause it feels like it's a movie about losing
Only this time it's us
And we're counting on a surprise ending
Only this time it never does come

  • He could be quite the faithful lap dog at times and as soon as she requested his presence on that side he stood up and made to go sit next to her before he noticed her drink was running low. Leaning down, he just brushed his lips across her forehead and then straightened and headed back to the bar to order her another drink and to get a fresh soda for himself. A yawn escaped his lips as he slowly made his way back to the table and scooted in next to her, leaning down to press a kiss to her lips before he drew back. "Did you talk to Aly today? Jake was in another of his 'she's to good for me and I am going to ruin her life' snits and was crying into his beer when I got here. Well, not crying, but getting awfully broody at least."
