Her voice was soft and she shifted to slouch back into the chair, both hands pushing slowly through her hair as she glanced down the hall where she knew he was - so close, yet so impossible for her to get to right now, when he was all she wanted. "I want to see him." She spoke to herself as much as to his parents - obviously they all wanted to see him... "My mama's on her way."

This was getting harder each time, like Mia, everytime she couldn't help but wonder if it was the last time - even though she hated thinking like that. She glanced up to her husband, who, up to this point, had been silent. She knew it was as hard on him as it was on her - they just handled things so differently.
