Even if the church's deny it Christianity took many things from the Pagan religion to help recruit new members into it. Many of the Christian holidays have Pagan influences in them such as Easter and the egg symbolizing birth and the rabbits and birds symbolizing nature. Christmas colors Red and Green are the two main Pagan colors symbolizing the Goddess and God. The green is nature which is represented by the goddess and red is power represented by the God. The Yule log is also Pagan. Very many things have been worked into Christianity from Paganism and Druidism though it seems that Christians turned against Pagans because they saw them as a threat because of there numbers. There are two main theories about why the witch hunts where started. One is the "Top to bottom theory" which states the higher members of the church started it the other is the "Bottom to top theory" which states that it was the common peoples fear that started it. Which ever it was all that needs to be said is that it seems that Christians took stuff from the Pagans and then after they where done recruiting turned on them.

I have had people tell me that because I am not Christian I know less about it then if I was Christian. Once I told them I WAS Christian there voice changed to an "Oh, well...have you thought about going back to church?" Although the major church denies it the people try to recruit others and that is something that I have grown to hate or if I am in a good mood make fun of such as saying "I don't feel like being saved today"
