I think you will wait a lot longer than two weeks. I am sure it can be done but until someone can make a buck or two out of the mod I can't see it happening.

If you are producing for TV surely you would be better off with a pure DV deck both the Sony and Panasonic decks support in/out. You will suffer some digital deterioration if the signal is copied from DV to D-VHS (MPEG2) back to DV and so on. Does anyone in the industry actually use D-VHS ?
