Is this what happened in the U.S.? You said that the U.S. was a stew rather than a melting pot. Look at the United States as a test case for the one-world-society. Does it work? Do you like it? Is there enough diversity of culture for you? It sounded from your earlier post that you think it works out fine in this country. I think it works fairly well, myself. A little more emphasis on social programs and the arts, a little less on consumerism, and I think it would be even better.
