Subject: Damn gov holidays, I was looking forward to the markets opening. Tomorrow.

I was self employed for 27 years and never had a holiday. Before when I was a plebe the holidays came and I frolicked and played with the best of them. One day I realized that I didn't really like working with others any longer. Bad attitude I guess. The co-workers all seemed to be automatons clicking in and out and management of all the places I worked were mostly just there trying to keep thier jobs.

It all ended, then the first few years of self employment was hand to mouth stuff. It got better financially and when my tax preparation got better, the worries were few.

I don't understand folk paying the tax preparer. Usually the reply is that they can work more to pay the preparer. It all comes down to how yoy file your deductions during the year. Good bookwork and reading up on current tax law is easy once you memorize the past rules. That includes gov forms and schedules. Easy peasey.
