Chasing the neighbors horse today. Took 6 of us to round them up.

Put a new tuning belt on my old 1942 Zenith 10s669 tall boy radio and works like a charm. Still needs a new speaker cover. That old beast picks up am band as well as short wave and another band which has since been outmoded, I think. Sounds good and has that deep bass if you want it. Have a Farnsworth radio out in the garage that is almost finished. It too need a tuning drive string to complete. Had to replace a capacitor and some tubes, new power cord, speaker front cover and some laminate. Getting antsy to fire that baby up. Couple of months ago gave a Silvertone tall boy radio to a family member who liked it. In the dining room we have a 1939 Silvertone radio/turntable, works well but the old 78's leave something to be desired as most of the 75 records we have are highly used. That heavy needle that is used wears out the records quick.
