Got to add on. My daughter went to a Covermiss prelim recently.She had the highest points in the entire pageant.and the crown she got was about 4 1/2 in high, but made with acrylic or plastic stones. The trophy was as big as the queen trophy you would get at Sweetpea and the side award medallions dont even say what they are for.But i am not going to argue about it. I like both systems. My dd really like her "doodle box " karaoke machine she won at Cover Miss. -- Air it ALL - Back & Better Than EVER!!!

In reply to: 's message, "you must not have been to a sweet pea pageant recently. The only big crowns she gives anymore are to the overalls. The queen crowns are cheap plastic with a tiny circle with sweet pea pageants on it. Cover miss crowns are not plastic we have a fairly large rhinestone crown from our last prelim for winning queen. Check out the website and click on "kings and queens on the go" you can see the photos from the pageants there. Last sweet pea prelim we did was little miss central fl and the crowns were garbage.
