Sounds like a poor sport. We were there and no, my daughter didn't even make Top 5 but it was the best pageant we have ever attended, very fair and we got more than our money's worth. - You heard incorrectly. There were 39 contestants which included 2 babies. There were contestants from California,Oregon and Idaho along with the majority of contestants being from Arizona. We had a terrific time! All meal functions included lots of souvenirs like boogie boards and snorkeling stuff. We also got extra treats with the hoedown and got to attend Kids USA Idol for no charge (could even be in it for nothing extra) and admission to the awards ceremony and Knotts Berry Farm. Where is the wasted money at Kids USA? The functions are awesome, you get what you pay for & the prizes are so much better than many other systems. Rigged? All the winners are gorgeous & talented! - Sorry you didn't enjoy yourself but WE DID! First we were bussed to the beach and got so much out there! Yes, there was sand but we were on a beach! There were tables under the ramadas and we really enjoyed all the food (so much!), playing volleyball and my daughter loved limboing and the hula hoop contests. We loved everything about it and it was more organized than any pageant I have ever attended. You sound like sour grapes to me. - I felt like I got a terrific deal! $250 included a bus to take us to the beach, lots of toys/goodies for the kids at the beach and more food than I could eat. Tuesday it included a chicken dinner with sides, lots of other food and plenty of souvenirs for the kids at lunch and entry and addmission to the Idol show. Then later that night it included pizza and soda and a movie night. Wednesday it included Disneyland or California Adventures. We went to Disneyland and had so much fun. Anyone who enjoys this pageant is as stupid as this "wanna-be" system is. Go ahead, try it....but don't expect a first class system, unless, you, like all of the other people who do this crappy pageant, are happy with a loser pageant. You couldn't PAY me to take one of these ignorant titles. Oh, by the way, I am not a "cinderella person" and I used to think that I wouldn't go near that system. - It sounds like you are satisfied with this kind of pageant, so it is the best place for you and your kids. But, maybe you should broaden your horizons a little and try another pageant. I did, and I was actually suprised to find that there are other systems that will treat you with more respect, as well as give you better food, prizes, etc.! You owe it to your DD to give her the best you can give her and in my opinion, Kids USA is a system that has a lot to learn! - JS is awesome! My complaint is not against her personally, but she is running a business! So, don't fool yourself! You are nothing more than a number. It is business and you need to keep that in mind. And, like all business owners just starting a business, she will tell you whatever you need to hear to keep you coming back.
