Ever since I stumbled across Dawnwalker on SOL it just keeps getting better. I got drawn into Randy, Crystal and Myleigh's lives and was hooked. After finishing that tale I started at the beginning and feverishly read everything Wes had available. The characters are so well written that they come to life in my imagination and seem like friends I just haven't seen in a while. The Bradford Tales brought new friends and although at first I was a little miffed that Wes started Bullring Days instead of continuing either of the other story-lines I should have trusted him more. He once again engaged me and got me immersed in Mel's life. I look forward to seeing how many other "friends" Wes will introduce me to as I wait for each installment of the current story. The latest one, Nellie, said something that struck a chord with me. It's about priorities. After reading the trip report Wes wrote about his Grand Canyon adventure and the stories focusing on Canyon Tours I've made such a trip one of my priorities. I've got some things to accomplish before I will be able to take the trip but it is a goal I am going to work towards. I've seen the river from the top of the rim, the next time will be from down on the riverbank.

I make no apologies for sounding like a fan boy. Heck I am. Wes is a darn good writer.

So please , if anyone asks you if you've read any good books lately I hope you steer them towards Spearfish Lake. We need to give Wes all the support we can so he can keep us up to date on all our new friends.
