Conceivably he could have packed the firearm (unloaded) in a piece of checked in luggage (there are legal methods for transporting firearms on airplanes: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/assistant/editorial_1666.shtm) or he could have illegally purchased it once he got to Camden.
