I can see fanfiction with alternate endings of Dawnwalker, Growing Together, etc. Of course, that would leave no place for redemption of Pete Chladek and Nanci, as they would all be resting in anonymous peace...

Speaking of Pete, I can't see him enjoying a Canyon Tours trip - but I can see him moving closer to his kids and grandkids after he retires.

Nanci I always thought of as just being on the extreme edge of an otherwise good kid after they first leave their nest. Pete was seen as closer to a villain but still was more towards "nuts" than evil in my opinion (after Dawnwalker - we saw why in Growing together.)
