Would love to see a map of the area in this story, I think it would enhance it. The maps already available on the site don't seem to cover this area. I bet Wes has a detailed map in his head!

Also, The large scale map of the Turtle Hills area and the small scale map of the same area are different. CR 919 goes west around the hill and the north country trail goes over the hill on the small scale map. On the large scale map the north country trail goes around the hill.

I have a scan of a rough sketch map I used in writing the story, but nothing polished. Since there have been many requests for a map, here you go:

Birdwatcher Hill Fire Rough Sketch Map.

I'll link to it from the website soon but I can't do it right now -- I have my real job to deal with.

The 'Next Chapter' link at the bottom of Ch.11 links to Ch.13, rather than Ch.12, so it gives a 404 at present

Wes, thanks for posting the sketch map, that is helpful.

Have you or anyone done any work on updating the maps posted in the maps section of the website? They are nice, but they don't have some things from the latest stores. If not, are there any plans to do so?
Also, how are they made? I'd be willing to help, but what software was used to make them?
