I just posted the first chapter of Blanche Tickle Girl. There are 27 chapters.

Sales on Lulu for hardcovers. epubs and PDFs have also been enabled. RTF files, mobis, epubs, and PDFs are also available from the Spearfish Lake Tales Store.

Preorders have been shipped. Very often when I put up a new story there are html bugs that don't show up when I tested it locally. I will be up until around midnight EDT to deal with any of those issues that you bring to my attention. I'll also be available until then if you want to order a book.

Have fun reading Blanche Tickle Girl!

-- Wes

Wes, the left menu bar just above the chapter list still shows Hiding Patty as the title. Minor nit if anything.

This reminded me of a cartoon, which unfortunately I couldn't find on the Internet. It shows a hippie holding a sign proclaiming something like "The world will end at midnight. 12:30 in Newfoundland". (You have to have grown up listening to CBC to truly appreciate this.)

In Australia, South Australia and Northern Territory have their own time zone, a half-hour different from the Eastern states. To complicate matters, South Australia has Daylight Saving Time in summer, while Northern Territory stays on Standard Time all year round.

The Eastern states are also a little confusing, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania plus Australian Capital Territory have Daylight Saving Time, while Queensland stays on Standard Time all year round.

Brazil's version of DST can get even more confusing. There have been years that the entire country has used DST, other times there has been varying number of states using it.

There has even been cases where a state started out using DST with the other states using it and stopped using it earlier than the other ones.

Very good beginning for this story. I'm wondering when this story is set. I remember Wes once saying that Winchester Harbor was set in the early 1980s. Is this one set after 2000?

I'm deliberately a little vague about the timing, but if you were to stay 2010 you probably wouldn't be far off.

In all your stories, unless stated otherwise, they are advancing chronologically (Randy runs Clark Construction, Jennifer has two children, etc.)?

Series is important. This is the 2nd Full Sails books, not Spearfish Lake or Class of 1988

Double Doh! I missed this first reading of chapter 1:

Mom and Dad– I changed my mind. I think I’m going to check out the French bikinis in the land Mom is named for instead.

Really enjoying the story BUT - no mention of a barometer which is more important than a compass with the GPSs on board nor lee cloths -- to hold you in your bunk. No one would go off shore without.
