I attended Bowling Green State Universiy in Ohio during the early 60's. Each dorm floor or wing depending on the dorm had a RA(Resident Advisor) whose duties were to maintain order, counsel students and be a role model for their charges. The RA's were usually undergraduates. The Head Resident of the dorm was usually a graduate student. When I was a student there was no alcohol allowed on campus, no members of the oposite sex in dorm rooms. At BGSU at this time girl dorms had "hours' just like curfew at home.

From fall 67 to fall 69 I attended ( did time at ) a fairly strict church college of my parents choice.

All dorms had a dorm mother or father or married couple. each floor had an RA who was an upper class student. Rooms were checked regularly for contraband and if any was found punishment up to expulsion was the order of the day. Maybe 1 strike but no more.
