Wes,

I'm happily reading your latest mushing tale. It's very close to home, since I'm not very far south of Talkeetna, and it's about -5F tonight, with an almost full moon. We've finally gotten some snow, though the winds of the last few days have it packed with a hard crust. The weather guessers are calling for a blizzard warning in Anchorage overnight, and it will likely make it up here by Christmas.

By the way, I saw Jim Varsos last fall, and he's looking good. Carol is taking good care of him. And I've run across several of the folks signed up for this year's run to Nome. We have the Knik race coming up soon too.

Keep on writing,
Ken

Good to hear about him. It's been years since I've seen him.
