In reply to: Candace 's message, "Feeling a little stressed" on 22:35:38 10/31/07 Wed

Dear Candace,

I would also be scared about the procedure if it were me that was making this decision. I have talked to women that are in your position for 25 years now and I must be honest in telling you that over the years, I've only met a couple women that were glad they made the choice to abort - and quite honestly, I noticed a lot of anger and an abusive situation with those women. The majority (so, in my experience here more than 95%) of the post abortive women I know have huge huge regrets. It's a PERMANENT answer to a TEMPORARY problem. Life circumstances change - but you cannot ever take back a decision like abortion once it's made. Have you ever faced a choice like that in the past? Have you sought out any other avenues? I want to urge you to call 1-800-395-HELP and talk to a counselor. Get armed with good information and other options you have. Take this two weeks to really search out your heart on the matter.

If you don't have the support about this already, it's only going to make recovery all the more difficult.

Like Pat said, we will be here for you no matter what.

Hugs,

Kris

Candance,

I found a website that is informative. It doesn't have names or places of abortion clinics and is pro-life. The site recognizes that people do chose to have an abortion and they want to keep them safe. They want to let women know the risks, their rights, cleanliness, fetal development, and information you might seek after your abortion. There are no pictures, only information. Pictures of development can be clicked if you decide to do so. At the bottom there are all the states for resources in your area and positive support you wish existed. Not all the centers are listed so check out the link that Kris provided you if your city isn't located on the one I'm giving you.

Have you considered the short-term and long term effect of the abortion?

Keeps us informed how things are. Know also that if you do get an abortion that we are still here for you. We're not going to condemn you. Know that you are loved, whatever the outcome.

Heather
