AS SALAAMU ALAIKUM,
I AM A NEW SHAHADA(5 MONTHS NOW)AND I HAVE BEEN PRAYING FOR A GOOD MUSLIM HUSBAND FOR A LONG TIME NOW, WHENEVER I MAKE DUA, I ASK FOR A GOOD MUSLIM HUSBAND. FOR EVERYONE ELSE IT SEEMS SO EASY,TO FIND A SPOUSE. IT SEEMS LIKE EVERYONE AT MY MASJID IS ALLREADY MARRIED. I WAS INVOLVED WITH A MUSLIM MAN WHO SAID THAT HE WANTED A MUSLIM WIFE(HE ALLREADY HAS A CHRISTIAN OF 5 YEARS) ALLTHOUGH I UNDERSTAND THE REASONS FOR POLIGYNY AND WAS WILLING TO BE A CO WIFE, HE NEVER TOLD THE WIFE ABOUT US OR HIS WANTING A SECOND WIFE. HE KEPT TELLING ME BE PATIENT, I WILL TELL HER WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT. I KEPT WAITING AND WAITING,BUT HE NEVER TOLD HER. I WANT TO GET MARRIED, I FEEL LONELY WHEN I GO TO THE ISLAMIC FUNCTIONS, I WANT TO SHARE MY LIFE AND ISLAM WITH A SPOUSE. WHAT CAN I DO TO REALLY GET THE BALL ROLLING?

Praise be to Allah.

There are a lot of Muslim women out there who would like to be married. Unfortunately there is no magic potion to make this happen.

All we can suggest is that you do as Allah says and be Patient. Also make duaa asking Allah to help you to find a mate worthy of marriage. Ramadhan is around the corner and it is the month of blessings. Remain patient and make duaa to Allah asking him to aid you in your quest..
