Salam aleikum

How do we have to read the du'a of istikirah prayer, i usually read after the second sujud before the taslim. As i can not arabic can i read in english and reading it from a book. How many times a day can we made istikirah prayer?

I want to make hijrah but my husband does not allow it (we live in Europe). I certain want to give up making the guidance prayer as it is almost 3 years now i want to make hijrah and it seems that is is getting nowhere(Istarfiralaah) , may be i am so desperate that sheytan is whispering in my ears and making my eeman weak.

Pls advice

As Salaamu Alaikoum,

Praise be to Allah.

Again we explain that the Istikhara prayer is not a prayer to make your dreams come true or issue magic for you to get what you want in life. Nor is it a prayer made to change the decree of Allah.

If Allah has decreed that you will live your life where you are there is nothing you can do about it.

Istikhara prayer is a Duaa that we make asking Allah to guide us in deciding to do something and to help us to accept whatever his decree is.

If you are making this duaa thinking it will make your dreams come true then you must realize it is not for that.

What you need to do is make regular duaa asking Allah to open your husband's mind to moving somewhere else if that is what you are seeking. But again, there are no lucky charms in Islam guaranteed to give you what you want. Everything is based on Qadr and you need to make duaa asking Allah to help you to accept whatever his Qadr is.
