As Salaamu Alaikoum,

Dhikr is an arabic word which means, "Remembrance of Allah". There are many ways to remember Allah. You can remember him by reciting his name and attributes, you can also remember him by reading the Quran. You can also remember him by attending classes to learn about your religion with other Muslims. You can also remember him by thinking of death. You can also remember him by praying nafil salat and fasting.

Thus there are many things one can do to remember Allah.
