assalam alaikum

i live in north america where there is a system in which every thing starts with interest.

if some one gives us gift and he has a bussiness of halal thing BUT here due to loan system he has to pay interest every month because he can not pay all amount.so is it halal for us to use this gift.like if a brother gives his sister some moneny as a gift is it halal for her to take this money .plz explain it with examples

and
peoples give us gifts and we don't know their money is halal or not so what should we do with these gifts.

Alikom Assalaam.
If the business is Islamically-permitted business (Halal),then, you can take the gifts which the owner of the business gives you ,because you are not responsible about the interest he payes,so you can still take gifts and money from your brother which he owns Halal business and you are not responsible about the interest he pays for his loan,and this also was the fatwa of shk Ibn Authaymeen ( Rahemaho Allah) about a question similar to yours.
