Is there anything wrong with getting married in the month of Muharram? Pakistanis make a big deal about it and wait till after it to get married, why?

Praise be to Allah.

There is nothing wrong with getting married during any month of the year. Many Pakistani people unfortunately practice much Bidah and shirk which is a carry over from when India accepted Islam. Unfortunately they mixed many of their pagan traditions with Islam. There is no hadith or ayat of the Quran that prohibits marriage during any month.
