Praise be to Allah.

Be careful of people who speak without knowledge.. just because a person calls himself a scholar does not mean that everything he says is true. A true scholar of this religion would never tell you something is haraam or not allowed to do without showing you his or her evidence from Quran or authentic Sunnah.

There is NO hadith on this planet that prohibits a woman from cutting or trimming her hair. In fact the prophets wives (May Allah be pleased with them) use to cut and trim their hair:

It was narrated in Saheeh Muslim that Abu Salamah ibn �Abd al-Rahmaan said: �The wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to cut their hair until it came just below their ears.� (al-Hayd, 320)

Again.. avoid people who use titles and speak without knowledge of this religion and avoid websites on the internet that give out false information about al-Islam.

May Allah keep us all on the True path of Islam based on Quran and Sunnah with the understanding of the Sahabah!
