Hello,

I'm trying to learn more about Islam and I have a few questions. My parents are catholic and I went to catholic schools, but I never really put much thought into it. I'm trying to explore other areas because I don't agree with everything that the Bible teaches. I have a question concerning what Muslims believe. Do all non-Muslims go to hell?

Also, I'm curious as to how one lives a Muslim life. Are there rules on what to wear, eat, pray, etc...?

To answer your questions:

Yes anyone who dies in a religion other than Islam will be one of the losers of hell.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

�And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers� [Aal �Imraan 3:85]

It was reported from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

�By the One is Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, not one of this nation, Jew or Christian, will hear of me and will die without having believed in that with which I have been sent, but he will be one of the dwellers of Hell fire.� (Narrated by Muslim, 153)

In regards to your second question, yes Islam is not just a religion it is a way of life. As Muslim we live by the rules of Allah (God) and his last messenger and everything has been clearly defnined to us.. how to eat, dress, sleep even use the bathroom.

We follow the example of the Prophet Muahmmad(saw) who was the last Prophet of Allah. It is from his example that we know how to live and one can not ask for a better example other than he.
