Jarek NOTHING HURTS LIKE YOUR MOUTHJarek rapidly grew bored of Cassidy's submissive dance, looking away from her to let his gaze roam along the back wall of the club. He listened intently to her every movement though, knowing exactly where she was and what she was doing ever second of her reintroduction. He could be incredibly cold and aloof, though had he been in wolf he would have given her at least some subtle wag of the tail...He liked this shape, he could become wickedly unreadable sometimes.Verda's feet moved deftly to the floor and Jarek too the opportunity to properly seat himself on the bench. The male ignored Cassidy as she slid across from him, only meeting her gaze when she smiled at him in greeting. He stared at her indifferently before sharing a cheap smirk and then absorbing it once more. He'd be friendlier later, but the irritation that vibrated around him would not permit anything more at the moment.
Verda returned to her place on the bench, and Jarek's eyes flashed when he heard his name though he did not meet hjer own steely gaze again. He simply tensed, suspicious of her addressing him. When her skin met his he resisted the urge to snarl, the sickening feeling of her reaching for his wolf not at all forgotten. His muscles strained as she yanked him forward, reminding him of the strength the existed in that slender frame, his blue eyes trained on the table, boring holes in it's surface as she spoke anger flaring anew as he was chastised in front of his pack mate...Suddenly more angry at Cassidy for being present than at Verda for the humiliation. He exhaled, despite his fury understanding that she meant far more than what she said and willing himself to unite and quiet his fury...He was exultant she began to pull away, by now having forgotten why he'd wanted to be near her at all...well...he had, until her lips brushed across his poisonously. A rumble, something like a growl and a whimper was smothered in Jarek's throat, the anger wilted and stamped down to nothing more than the usual tension he emanated... Before he could collect himself fully Verda had returned to her original position, and Jarek, with spirit quieted sat unhappily across from the two females. Restoring his stoicism he glanced up at Cassidy, reading the anxious shadows on her open face letting her be the one to look away first. Finally he redirected his attention to Verda, or rather, the wall just beyond her left shoulder. "Will we remain here, in this city?" He would need to get a feel for the place, learn who the other wolves were and what connections they might have...if there was a real pack already or if they might be able to establish themselves without competition. Networking, you could call it.. .In order to protect his Alpha he'd need to know just what sort of place they were dealing with. She probably had much of this information already, but Jarek would still make certain to get anything and everything out of the way that he needed to. |
