Stupid?..no. Why wouldn't the Pike be a little freaked out?
If the weeds have been cleared etc. the Pike will have to to find new haunts, new ambush points, hiding holes etc. At the moment they probably feel a little conspicuous and feeding is a no-no. Give it a week of complete rest and then come back dressed appropriately for stalking (Pike that is!). I,m sure they will have settled down into some sort of routine by that time.
