Just found this site as my Husband went on the Nevasa as I went on the Uganda. As we are all remembering the Titanic today the question came up about the steam ships. Anyway you must have gone on the same cruise as me. I went to March End secondary school Wolverhampton. I remember the gale force winds even the crew were sea sick. We were all lying on the decks eating dry biscuits. I must have this thing with sea sickness as every boat I have been on we seem to hit bad weather. We passed the sister ship Nevasa somewhere and I remember the funnels blowing and people on both ships waving to each other. I have great memories of the places we visited and I achieved an ambition to return to Gibralter a few years ago. I think it was the end of 1968 when we went. I remember traveling to Gatwick through the night and how small the plane was compared with todays. I still have my dormitory badge and the name was Mungo Park.
