In reply to: fairplay 's message, "stamping" on "Mon, Apr 04 2011, 20:35:52 GMT"

Bishay was certainly not attempting to roll away so perhaps deserved his yellow card, but that does not excuse the stamping - no way was that trying to get the ball out of the back of the ruck.

As for the music being played as he came off - glad Mose don't do any of that nonsense.

By the way, great work Camera Shake, much appreciated.

Bishay was definitely impeding Esher from playing the ball and the yellow card was correct. I'm not sure you could penalise the Esher 10 though - admittedly it looks like it - but the referee was right on top of the incident and the Esher players feet appear to be in the area where the ball was as is required by the law. Difficult one to be honest but if it had happened in front of me I'd have probably done the same as the match official.

You're no grumpy old b***er London Exile !

From memory (my visit to Esher a couple of seasons ago) I thought the announcer was funny for about 10 mins, then he became rather annoying !

Yet the Esher supporters I have come across have been friendly and enjoyed a bit of good natured banter.

Look forward to playing them again nest season !

"As for the music being played as he came off - glad Mose don't do any of that nonsense".

I have to agree. Personally I hate the match-day experience at Esher and sometimes wonder why I bother to go there.

I detest the loud distorted music, especially the stupid Zorba the Greek music, leading up to a kick being taken.
I hate that random bit of music that gets played every so often and they all shout Esher after it.
I can't stand the announcer with his facetious comments - he's probably the type who likes the sound of his own voice and only laughs at his own jokes.

Rant over now - I'm beginning to sound like a grumpy old b***er.

Having said all that I did have a chat with one or two of the Esher supporters, who did seem friendly, fair and welcoming - so I'm looking forward to going down there again next season!!
