I think Ridge misplaced his money. Come on !!!! It's Joe we're talking about. LOL I'm an eternal optimist about the characters played by Joe. I was sure John Blackwell was a saint. It's called being partial.
So the bets are open: corruptible or incorruptible?

Here is what I think. Joe should remove himself from the case since he knows Ridge. Even though Katie should get the boy, it will come out that Ridge called in a favor. Joe even said he could lose his job. So, Joe is a honest judge and truly believes Katie should get the boy. He will rule that way but Dollar Bill will find out about Ridge and Joe's history and declare a miss trial.

Take Care,
Nancy in Indiana

I also thought Craig could step down, & tell his superiors EXACTLY why, thereby keeping his integrity & job. I love seeing Joe, though, & hope Craig will stand his ground, & will see the hearing through. There probably will be a very messy trial to follow the hearing.

This IS a soap; cat claws & dagger-stares & back-stabbing run rampant, with bed hopping. The last time I watched a soap was The Guiding Light, when Joe was Macaully West, Summer of 1993. I have not missed them!

I don't want the judge to withdraw from the case, I want Joe to have the most presence on the screen. As for the storyline, both parents seem as pitiful as each other. Perhaps for the sake of this child the good judge will place this child in a healthier environment.

Joe can't withdraw! He should in real life but this is a soap. I haven't watched this show before but Is there anyone on this show that would provide a "healthy environment"? They all seem rather dysfunctional!

Are you able to watch on the internet, Isabelle?

I'm totally delirious, but why not the character of Alley Mills, I don't know if she has a family relationship with the kid, but it would be so funny that Judge Joe entrusts the child to one of his old Dr. Quinn pals.
By the way, there is a great interview of Joe on Soap Opera Digest. Orson came to say hello to Joe on his first day. I bought a digital version, on line on Zinio.
