^the brute grimaces and prepares for a fight. as the mare lunges, he only turns slightly with her, and is therefore able to recover rather quickly. her ivories do catch him, though the wound to his neck is minor and shallow. the ebon' beast quickly backs off, looking for any holes in her guard. light on his feet and swift as a tornado, the mascu' leaps forward, neck outstretched. just as quickly, his neck is pulled back, a vicious snapping that left his ears ringing. but, he now feints slightly right, hindquarters swinging around to aim a sharp kick at the femme's chest^
