Here are the updated guidelines, agreed upon by Marty and myself. Play by the rules or else!

1. Only species vs. species battles. Meaning: Mythicals vs. Mythicals, equine vs. equine, cat vs. cat, wolf vs. wolf, dragon vs. dragon, etc. No dragons swooping down to fry a unicorn; no pegasus flying in to kick a kitty in the head, etc. Got a question about something, contact me, Marty, or Linz.

2. If an equine has powers, they must battle a mythical. No fire-breathing horse may battle a powerless horse. Got a power, go fight a mythical or do not use your power.

3. There is no limit on how many creatures may be involved in a battle. This contradicts the 'ganging up' ruling mentioned earlier. (see rule #5 for additional ruling)

4. The cut-off age for engaging in battle is two (2) years old. Younger than 2? Go somewhere else, you will be kicked out of SKB unless you are only helping in the healing wards. Let me stress one point... if you choose to put your foal character into battle, be very aware of the foal's limitations. Do NOT whine when an adult smushes you, that's reality.

5. Make VERY certain that your characters are only in one place at a time. This is a compromise that was reached between Marty and myself and it cuts down on confusion. If you are in one battle against someone, do not post in another battle while your character is still engaged in another fight. You will be called on this offense. Don't do it. Make sure that you are in the battle that you wish to be in.

6. Healers. There are two (2) Light healers, Euphoria and Tori, located in the Healing ward. There will be Evil Healers selected as well to ensure fairness. The link to the Evil Healing ward will be posted under the Light Healing ward. Under NO circumstances whatsoever are there to be any attacks on the healers or in the healing ward. I will go haywire if I see anyone, Light or Evil, trying to stage an attack in a healing ward or on a healer. Healing powers given out during the war are TEMPORARY. After the war is over, all healing powers that were granted will be stripped. Don't complain, just accept it.

7. This should not have to be mentioned, but I will for the sake of posterity and my sanity. Do Not Power-Play!!! Don't do it. Nuh-uh. Nope. You cannot say, ".... and the firebolt unleashed was completely unavoidable, therefore burning the opposing horse to a crisp." This is a cardinal rule of RPGs everywhere. Every attack is an attempt, not a given. Also, do not dodge everything thrown your way. It makes for a very boring battle and I hate to say it, but no critter is good enough to dodge everything. Try to be realistic.

8. This is a GAME. Temper tantrums are not welcome. Civil discussions are fine, heated arguments are fine, but if I see cursing, name-calling, any kind of slurs, or fights/arguments taken OOC, I will delete them. Use your common sense... If you wouldn't want your mother/sister/aunt/grandmother/teddy-bear reading what you wrote, don't post it. Trust me, I have no qualms deleting offensive material.

One final note: You are the one in charge of your character. If you do not want your creature to die, then they don't die. Severe wounds can be healed -- Death is not always the result. If you want your character to die, go ahead and let them bite the big one, but no one will be forced to make their critter die.

As I stated before, any questions/comments/suggestions/complaints can be directed to Marty or me. If I am unavailable, as seems to be the case on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, you may contact Linz for immediate crisis resolution. AIM names are listed below.
