Sun Kissed Beach

~*Paradise Under Fire*~

The beach has not changed, the tides still cycle through their phases, unperturbed by the disturbances around them. The sand still sparkles under the glaring light of the watchful sun as the palm fronds wave gently in the embrace of a light breeze. But something was definitely wrong. No birds sang in the lush forest surrounding this little slice of heaven. There were no joyful nickers of contented horses grazing on the lush grassland leading into the beach. No foals frolicked in the foam of the rushing waves. It had all changed, the serenity stripped away by the brutality of war. The battle had begun. Slowly but steadily, the ranks of the armies began to arrive. Faces devoid of happiness but touched by hope gather to face their enemies in order to preserve their way of life. Courage and loyalty had brought them here, as well as a desire to protect that which they held most dear. Only time would reveal the result of this battle, only the victors would see the next sunrise.

The auburn stallion hadn't the time to dodge from Shazaam's striking teeth. His flank seared with pain even though the offensive bite seemed not to be seriously damaging. The Evil King's blood was not spilled, but the bite from the blunt teeth was worse than being slashed. He is bleeding on the inside, and a tender bruise is beginning to form. Yet the stallion stares Shazaam down with insolent ease. Yes, blood has been spilled, but it was the opponent's not his. For now, at least, Adrian had means to threaten the Light King further.

"I suppose I'll have to strike back, Shaz. What else would I do? Run?"

He pauses, twisting his ears back in habit. The bay coloured stallion could run, that was a usable alternative. But he would save that for later. Shazaam could call him a coward, if he wished, but in Adrian's mind, courage should never outweigh intelligence. If all was lost, he would simply start from scratch. This battle may be lost, but the war is far from over. Shazaam probably would have loved to hear that.

"I choose neither."

The stallion then totally contradicts himself. Glancing at the wound he inflicted upon the Arab, the Evil seems to sober up. This was going to be a real battle, and Adrian does not feel like attacking again right at this moment. Instead, he takes several step towards the other, crowding his space, attempting to get Shazaam to strike at him so he could react with a swift and defensive counter.

Over and over she had told herself she would not get involved in this War. So many had been injured and wounded there had to be some stop to it all. Chaos insued throughout the entire territory battles raged across all sides. Something had to be done before both Light and Dark terras were only left in peices. But she no longer had any rank and was not of much importance. How to stop her daughter's cruel War?
The golden beauty stepped further into the chaos. She cared nought about her own safety but was only thinking. Stepping between battle creatures and over puddles of blood. A way to send everything.. nothing she could do to Firelight would stop it. It was past anyone's but Adrian's ability to stop. And would the Evils even listen to the King? Who knew, what if she challenged him and if he won he had to call out his troops? No, it seemed Shaz was dealing with Adrian at the moment. But should she put herself in a battle? Why no find some Light that needed help and fight alongside them. Well it was better then hiding in Hopeful Valley.

Heaven is.... Nothing But Mist

~Strands of silver tint dangle about in whispering waves of wind as the ebon' dame watched all that went on before her. Muscles quiver in tense need for release as nares flare. Capturing the scent of salt and blood alike. No this beach would never be the same...nor the souls that shall be lost upon it. Crystal blue orbs mirror that of the strangely calm sea. Her figure not standing out nor hiding amidst the battles waging. The vixen was merely watching...waiting her time in the kennel of fire, for which her next chapter of life shall begin. Be it in battle or merely in that of a comfort she knew not. But heaven help or condemn any that dare raise a hoof against such forces as the Lights. For they were stubborn, twas a known fact...and this mare was no exception~

The ivory dame carried herself onto the beach with muscled legs, looking for a fight with one of a darker nature, she knew no one here, no one knew her. 'twas better that way, no suffering if she was to fall and not rise. Stormy voids held a fire and will to survive, as did her heart. Dagger strikes the blood washed sand, waiting inmpatiently...

Ivory femora made her way across the blood-stained sands. Here she thought, here many memories and souls will lie for many a time. She moved slowly, deliberately. She was older than most, but still in her prime, though even in the later years of that. She had fought many battles, had been present for the completion of three wars, each time fighting for the Lights. This time would be no different. she would fight, and she would triumph, or perish in the attempt. This was her time, her time to prove once again her undying loyalty to this place which through her long 14 years, and ben her home. Here she was born, here she had given birth, and here, she would die. Azure orbs flicked back and forth. Every time they lit upon a figure fighting, they lit with recognition. For some she saw and recognized, remembering former battles and old friends. Some she remembered from foalhood. The sons and daughters of those now gone. And some, some she saw and knew not they themselves, but knew one or more of their parents, for she could see bits of them in their progeny. She had been here for the birth of Princess of Light, wittnessed the final battle of Myrakazan, smiled through her tears as she watched aonother take his place, seen him too, in time, step away and fade. she had wittnessed Shazaam take the throne rightfully his, and wept for hours when DOL left her post. For, through all of Polar's hardships and troubles. DOL had always been here, a powerful leader. Polar felt-she thought wrongfully-that she was connected to the golden mage, for once many years ago, she had been healed by DOL, as a wounded flicka barely able to stand on her own four feet. She had heard of the battles, but could not tear herself away until now. Now it was her turn. She would fight for all of the memories, and all of the friends, and yes all of the enemies. She would fight, and if she should perish, she at least did so for her home, her family, and her life.

A young foal galloped in and looked around tears seemed to be streaming dawn her painted muzzle. SHe looked for her adoptive mother afraid she was lost forever. When she saw all the bloodshed she became frightened and galloped over to a low hanging bush and hid.

Female waits for the attack from opponent. Her orbs so dark blue they were almost black. Two deep ipressions ran down her face blood driping from the wounds. Her ankle was very sore as she flew in the air. She closed her eyes momentaraly, she opened them and watch her dragon swing his tial in females direction. She closes her eyes before she could see whether he hit or not. She opened her eyes and wiated for the opponent's reaction.

After his great swing of the tial he watches opponent and smirks, whether he hit her or not he didn't know, but if it did it would damage her well. He looked at Female in the sky. He flew up to his creator and then noded his head. His time was up! He swirled to the ground and just before he hit the beach sand he disappeared into a golden flam. Within seconds the flame turned to a spark, the sparks to emtyness

The ceator bows her head and wispers Thank You Before returning her gaze to her oppenent now it was one on one!

Sauntering through the muck of battle, the female figure glances about at the pettty battles between the Lights and the Evils. None of those here were true Evil and those that are cant help themselves. Bending down to the mire below her feet, she runs a delicate hand through the gore. Rising with a hunk of anomious meat in her hands, she walkes on. Rising the meat to her lips, she tears a small hunk off with pearley white fangs. The blood that drips down her chin is licked up with a long toungh before it drops to the ground. Barley glancing at the battles going on around her, she carried on searching for her dinner. She had been a long time since she had had a feast of this finery. The mysery, pain and anger was a fine dressing on the raw meat as she tore off more hunks and ate contentadley, her tail swishing softley a mere millimetre above the destruction on the ground.

(Finally! I can get on the battle page. Time to kick some booty)

She roars, a rather forceful note, and swoops down to slash any darks stupid enough to get close. She herself was a dark, but her evilness had nothing to do with stupidity, as these hairy baboons had. She would never (well, maybe she would, but that's none of your beeswax) attack a community just because they took the name "light" while she did so with "dark". She drops into another dive, (seemingly) freefalling to the ground, but she pulls out of it and lands gracefully (but by no means gently) upon the ground in one of the few light strongholds left. Brushing some dirt off her scales, she inspects herself. Put bluntly, she was a rather frightning sight. Uncoiled, she was an ebony Drakess, eighty (or more) feet in length. Being a Lair Dragoness, she had various magics that would come in handy, including the ability to turn someone or something to stone. She could fight (Quite well, in fact, if she'd say so herself. And of course she does.), she could Heal (only a small bit, and only if the attacker was powerplaying) and she was ready to bite a few kitties in half. Seeing nothing she could do to help, she flys off to a more battlefilled area, and calls out this challenge. Any Dark scum out there who dares to fight me?

*The aged and greatly rounded femmora reached the beach front. Steel blue orbs wander about as she seeked out the faces of those she knew, but she did not stay long in the open. No in fact the pregant mare moved towards the healing section of the tt. She had grown bored of hiding or stalling in her home, that and her herd was here. She wanted to make sure they were all okay. Snorting softly at the slight effort these actions were now having to be made with. After all she was nearly to the end of her carrying time. In fact if this war did not last long, her mate could return to a lovly foal to care for...Ya never know*

Upon entering the fields of battle, my elation blew the roof, my elliptical daggers sliced cleanly through viroy sand stained with crimson blood. Looking about the scene of the crime, I awaited battle, pawing the disgusting turf with my foreleg. Firegold vixen stepped back into the lands now that her creator had gotten most of her work under control. Her ebony tipped recievers flicked around mug lifted to view the chaos. This what she had started right? She had wanted something anything to get the Evils alive again and it would either pull them into activity or destroy them. They had to win it was not a choice now but the only option. Her breath filled the well muscled chest and a call cast along the lands. How many Evils were left here in these lands? How many could still fight those who choose Light?

The ebony dragoness with the violet flames dancing beneath her harder then steel hide entered again. She stepped in front of the mare and let deep violet flames lick the earth. Muscles rippled as she spread apart her wings and wooshed them closed around her. A call was cast out a bellow for a battle.

The beast, an oddball, trudged into the lands. He could almost be called a dragon but he was not. His hide was flame and steel hard rock a whip like tail lashed behind him. Claws flexed and talons dug into the earth. The slim head snaked around searching for a look at the bloody scenes. He would do battle with whatever came in front of him. Be Light or Dark though he did tend to seek to bloody those with a lighter mind.

The female mythical of darker nature once having paced in the Evil court decided to help out. She didn't always like to battle but her blood boiled at all the energy and hate coursing through all here. So she to stood by the one Firelight and cast out a bell tone she looked for a fight.
