Subject: Everyone... a moment please

I know this is asking a lot, but please indulge me for a moment. As everybody probably knows, today, September 11, 2003, marks the 2 year anniversary of the terrorist attacks on America. Many lives were lost in the senseless tragedies, not only from the actual attacks, but from the aftermath, police, firefighters, ordinary citizens, coming to the rescue of their fellow man, doing their duty when it condemned them to their own deaths. I wish that everyone could hold a moment of silence for the ones who were killed, and especially the families and friends of the victims, who had people very dear to them snatched away because of another's madness. Whether you love the United States or hate it, the senseless murder of hundreds and thousands of human beings is a horrible waste. Please take a moment to count your blessings, to realize that no matter how much your family or friends may get on your nerves, it would be so much worse if they weren't there at all.
