Subject: Does Anybody Give A Shit About The World Series??

I mean, I don't, but I was curious if anybody else did. Some of you might remember back in the early days of C-Slam chatting, or even on this very board in it's infancy, when I said I gave up on baseball after they cancelled the World Series. Everybody was all excited about Mac and Sosa and even Bonds and I kept saying that they were all juiced up and everything they were doing was crap but that the management didn't care because they just wanted anything to generate some interest. Anyway, I did pay some mild attention just because the Brewers went to the playoffs last year and have had some marginally competitive teams on occasion. However, for the most part baseball can still suck it as far as I'm concerned. A-Roid and the rest of the country club known as the Yankees are a joke. If they win it proves just how pathetic baseball is in that anybody can buy a championship if they want one. Hell, every 4 or 5 years Florida proves that too. Give me a salary cap, a good one, for a start and maybe I'll pay attention to the whole league again, but until then I'll stick with football and college basketball.
