          • My daughter was in tot top 5 last two yrs.And although I have to agree with some of the orgianl post I dont agree with all. But you have to look at it like this. We pay the directors to find 3 people to give their opinion about our kids. We may not like it or agree with it but that is what pageants is all about. In the tot group Conner was not the one I would Question. Everyone can not have what they think is right and everyone is not going to be satisfied and yes there is a lot of stuff I don't understand about ALOT of pageantsbut comming on the boards (NT) -- and calling people names and bashing kids is not going to answer any question.Call your local director ask her she should answer all you questions.That is for all pageants not just Cinderella....   OK, so I know how Karen Mann feels. Does anyone else have an opinion about the posting of contestant names on message boards? I am speaking of posts announcing who has registered prior to the pageant. Actually I am curious about what you think if names were posted after a pageant as well.

  • Hi i was reading the other post. I can understand what they are saying about the judges seeing the kids names before the pageant and i see where one judge has already picked out theres. But i don't really think Cindy meant anything bad about what she did. She has ask for it to be removed. I can understand where you are coming from. i did not think about it like that.   I have two great photos from a shoot that I would like to use in my daughter's portfolio. I'd like to know if others use more than one photo with the same or similar outfit.
  
  One photo is all about personality and props. The second is all about lighting. Thanks to anyone who has an opinion.

    • You're right-- to be successful in pageants these days you HAVE to build up name recognition. You build up name recognition by getting top name designer clothes, pictures, and going to a coach with political clout. And THEN, you have to "pay your dues" with the coach in order to get to the top of her list of priority people she helps win. (NT) -- It's sad, but true.   Her computer has been down for a week first she got the keltz virus and then lightning struck her computer. She says that Emily didn't deserve to win the pageant and thatwhat she was upset about was a lowballed score! She talked with Rita about this in confidence! It was not suppose to get out. She didn't want anyone's feelings hurt! She said that she was not mad about the Easter pageant, she was glad for Emily Weeks, Emily and Laura had competed for years and Laura always placed over her so she was glad for Emily! Also, she said she congradulated Caitleigh Mann when she left! She told me that she had discussed the pageant with a certain mom in front of the library(although she doesn't want to say who) about the pageant. This mom herself brought up the fact that the overalls were strange! Kristin had tried to call this woman last week to discuss school and the woman never returned her call. Also she was suppose to give her info about a pageant that she had won a free entry to and the woman never called her back! Now she's not saying that this certain person is startin this, but it does seem fishy! Also, it's not hard to figure out who the bashers are. For instance the two woman who gave her dirty looks at the swimsuit pageant, who also went to Rita's Jasper pageant and then posted that they weren't there. Many directors from the past will tell you that Kristin Smith knows when her daughters don't deserve to win! Your basher is someone else! Kristin is very hurt by all of this and she will expose you if you don't call and apologize!

  • Yes she did come up and congratulated CaitLeigh. We saw them in McDonalds earlier that day and they were very nice the kids played togethor. I do not who is starting all this stuff. But if the person has a problem they should go to Kristen not this website. I think all the kids did good at both Rita's pageants and they all looked beautiful.   I can hardly believe the lengths some of you will go to "win." Let me start by saying, I just graduated high school in 1998, and I thought all this high school drama would be left behind. Obviously, I was sadly mistaken. I guess some people NEVER grow up! Secondly, I thought pageanting was supposed to be a FUN recreational event in which mother and child are able to spend QUALITY time together. This does not seem to be the case for many. Jacque's pageants have provided a MANY people with a VERY FAIR, FUN pageant in a loving atmosphere that is close to home! Jacque cares deeply for pageants and the children that compete in her system. EVERYONE is a winner to her. As far as her pageants being rigged, we all know that's BS! PM did a very good modeling on Saturday, as well as everyone else there! I would love to see some of the bashers get the courage to get on a stage in front of 100-250 people concentrating on YOU and YOU ALONE! I, for one, cannot do it. ONLY because I am a relatively shy person! Also, for the bashers who stay on the board saying hateful things, why don't you expend some of this energy you have by TEACHING your child something? Do you spend as much time worrying about your child's education as you do worrying why she/he didn't win this or that?! Or are you planning on turning them into a professional contestant? This is supposed to be fun,YOU'RE turning it into something ugly! And in case you haven't noticed, not many people care for pageants as it is. You're only making it worse! It sounds to me like you have a problem with insecurity. They make doctors and pills for that you know. EVERYONE know different judges have different opinions. And depending on who is judging on a given day, different people will win! You need to get a grip. If you need someone to tell you your child is beautiful, what kind of mother does that make you? I would like to finish by saying,THANK YOU TO ALL THE BITCHES WHO HAD A HAND IN THE CLOSING OF A GREAT PAGEANT SYSTEM!!! If hated it so much, why do you keep going and talking about it???????

  Don't know what good it will do but I just wanted to let everyone know that I am not in anyway associated with the Board Coalition. Nor are any the Gosney Girls.
  
  Yes, I did ask for all of the posts on the bash board to be removed by the board owner because it was doing nothing but promoting the bashing of these girls, their parents, and myself. Yes, I did tell the board owner (after she refused to remove the posts) that I would have all the Gosney parents contact Voy.com and file a complaint. The Gosney girls are not out to have boards taken down. We just do not want to be the subject matter on boards that do nothing but tear people & kids down. These type of boards do not serve any positive purpose.
  
  The foul language that was posted was not done so by myself or any other person associated with the Gosney Girls to my knowledge. Their are accusations that Amy and I are the board coalition and that we also posted the foul language. Neither of us posted any of that. You can check our IP addresses. They are not aol. And that is who posted the foul language and the board coalition posts. I have Southwestern bell modem at home and a fixed ip at work. When I use my laptop, my dial up account is with ev1 same as our home email address (sd1@airmail.net)
  
  I think if anyone on this board put yourself in our shoes and saw your kids and their friends being bashed you would have reacted the same way that Amy and I have. 2 weeks ago, the same person that owns the current trash board put up the Bashers Annonymos Board and either posted themselves or allowed others to post a picture of a group of Gosney Girls (my kids included) and start posting each childs name and bashed them. In addition, they posted almost pornograhpic bashing about 2 of the older Gosney Girls. Now what kind of responsible adult would allow that to happen? It makes you wonder what kind of person this is we are dealing with that feels they need to have a trash board like this up. When this board was up, Amy and Linda started posting in big fonts. There was nothing foul in the posts. They said "Bashers go away" and things like that. They did this to try to get the board down. No sain person wants to read that kind of garbage about their kids friends. It is just not right. Plain and simple. The board owner took that board down and put up another board immedietly called teh ANTI GG Bash board. Why? What have any of the Gosney Girls done to this person to cause them to put up a board like this? Its specific purpose was to bash this group of girls. WHY? Because they post a bunch of banners on the Texas Board? IS that a sin? The girls are not even the ones posting the banners....it is their proud parents! This person posted on the Texas Pageant Board and got it taken down that same night. The next morning, they put up the trash board and said it was the Texas Pageant Board. When she was caught lying about that, she changed the name to Texas GBU board which was also already set up. Why would this person want to take of the Texas pageant Board and pose as the owner? When she was caught lying again, she changed the name again. And now it si the Texas Beauty Pageant Complaint Board.
  
  She begin positng or allowing posts that specifically bashed the Gosney group. They were bashed for posting banners on the Texas Board. AGain, I ask what is wrong with that? And then they were bashed because they post to those banners and that brings them back to to the top. Again, what is wrong with this? This group posts to more than just their banners???? They were also bashed either by the owner of this board or the posts from visitors that she allowed to stay on the board over a benefit pageant thaty they had nothing to do with other than donating to it. WHY?? Every post on that board was bashing the Gosney group in one form or another. That is why I asked on behalf of the Gosney group to have the posts removed. All those posts did was invite the bashing. I asked nicely that the board owner remove the posts and explained why. She did remove some of the posts but then made a tacky post that she was asked to remove them and she did but she did not want "these people" posting on her board. I asked her again to remove that post and the remaing posts that refrenced the Gosney Girls. I did notify voy.com of my requests. That is how I (and I alone) tried to handle the situation with the bash board. I never posted foul language on that board or any other board. I do not talk that way.
  
  Now, during all this time, i did accuse Lorie C. of owing those boards. I should not have done that and I apologized to her and publicly apologized to her on every board I had psoted that she owned the bash board. I lashed out in anger over my kids and their friends being bashed and should not have. The owner of the bash board took that as an opporutinty to bash me either directly or indirectly by allowing posts to remain. I admitted I was wrong and I apologized for it. I HAVE NOT POSTED ON THE BASH BOARD SINCE THAT APOLOGY!
  
  Now, back to the Board Owner Coalition: There was another post that was made sometime back from this person. Again, it was not me. It was directed at Lisa O. There had been personal information put up about me on the PMS board. I was contacted and given ip addresses that pointed towards Lisa. I asked her about it and gave her the information that had been given to me. She claimed she did not do it and I dropped it. I accepted her word that she had not done it.
  
  The bash board owner is also accusing me of getting a group of people together that have been bashed to file charges or something along that line. I did post 2 messages. One to each of the other 2 people that were being bashed on her board. I did this ONLY to provide them the information that voy.com gave me about getting posts removed from a board. Nothing more. I am not gathering any group of people to do anything about these boards!
  
  
  I don't know what has happened on these boards lately but it is sickening. All the findger pointing and bashing that has gone on lately had done nothing but divide the pageant community. I will not be a part of it. Everyone needs to ask themselves why their has been a sudden surchage of negative boards come up. What has changed over the past few months and why have the Gosney Girls and myself all the sudden become the target of so many people. Contrary to what is being posted, the Gosney Girls is a very fun, loving group for the most part. Yes, their are bad apples in every bunch. But, the majority of these parents (myself included) we do pageants with our kids because it is fun. There have been many accusations of bashing posts coming from the gosney group. Proof has been asked for and nothing has been provided. Please stop making these accuastions if you have nothing to back them up with. As far as the Granny Mo situation, that is between her and another director, not the Gosney Girls. Please stop tyring to turn it around on us. I did bash Lorie by saying she owned the bash boards and again, I have apologized for it.
  
  I am publicly asking for everyone to come together and stop this non sense. If you don't have something nice to say, just don't post anything. You know, it takes a lot less energy to be postive than to be negative. I for one would like to see pageants get back to what they used to be and all this non sense stop.

  It just kills me these people that put up boards and then post to themselves over and over again to make it look like people are visiting their boards and agree with their "opinion". Someone has several up right now and is trying to make it look like people are visiting and agree with them. When, no one else agrees with them! It is sad. And you know who you are! Shame shame.   Lorie, Please accept my apology. I falsely accused you of owning these terrible bash boards and should not have done that without solid proof. I was grasping at straws because I cannot stand the bashing that has been going on lately. I put my anger on you and should not have. Please forgive me. You and Schelbi have been nothing but nice to the girls and I each time we have seen you.
  
  To those that are doing the bashing. It is a shame that this is what you spend your time doing. I have spent the last 2 weeks consumed with what is going on these boards and I will not do it anymore. I am not going to defend myself, my kids, or the Gosney Girls against people like you. You are everything that is irrational so there is no point. Anyone that knows me and my family know what kind of people we truly are. This behavior is beneath me and I am ashamed that I got caught up in it. If I have left someone out when I have made banners for the kids, I promise you it was not intentional and I apologize for that too. If you feel like I have not been friendly to you at a pageant, I am sorry for that also. Again, it was not on purpose. Unfortunately, I am kind of quiet until I get to know someone. And, if you do not like seeing the banners that I do for these kids, then you need to just scroll past them. These kids work very hard and deserve the recognition. I am sure their accomplishments far outshine anything you have done or would want to post on these boards!
  
  We do pageants because they are fun. We enjoy spending time with our kids and we all enjoy seeing our friends whether they are Gosney Girls are not. I think the Gosney Girls are wonderful kids and a great group of parents. I am very proud that my girls are part of such a great group of girls and we are very thankful to have Susan as our coach. I also think that the kids and parents that we see at pageants that are not Gosney Girls are great too! We don’t choose our friends based on what coach they go to.
  
  The past 2 weeks have been the ugly side of pageants for us. There have been a lot of people hurt and I do not want any part of that! The vile things that have been spewed all over these boards the last couple of weeks has been horrible and made me consider leaving pageants all together. How anyone can say such things about others is beyond me! I would hate to lead that kind of life. How can you enjoy getting up in the morning?
  
  Thankfully, there is a wonderful side to pageants. There are the kids playing together, the parents standing around talking, the girls getting dressed up and looking so beautiful. There are the weekends at the hotels, the swimming, the directors that really love the kids, and the dinners at the restaurants (trying to cram 25 people into a little area). And, of course there are the midnight chat sessions with other mom’s that I wouldn’t miss for anything! (Ice Ice Baby!!) And, there are all the pictures that we come home with and I get to use to make banners for the kids! I definitely wouldn’t trade all of this for anything in this world. Thank you to all those that have stood by me these last couple of weeks and helped me realize that!
  
  So, say what you want about me, my family, and our friends. But see, in the end, THE ONES THAT MATTER TO US KNOW THE TRUTH! And that was a hard lesson to learn these last 2 weeks!

  Is it ok to tell your child that if she does not practice she can't go crown at a pageant? My daughter hates to practice. she loves pageants and begs to do them, but hates the practicing part. She is supposed to go to a pageant next week end and reign, but I told her that if she did not practice the rest of the week she could not go to crown. Is that wrong?
