The English have a fetish for schoolgirls. I think back when they were young, these bands regarded it as a perk of the job they could pull really young girls. They rationalized it that the girls wanted them to, and would only be pulling somebody else if not for them. It was a fad to have an underage girlfriend. She was just part of the whole circus, which usually included a famous or fashion-model wife, a mistress, a young lady, a nanny for the kids (and the guy), jailbait, and other illegal/questionable pursuits. The girls were later discarded, or got pregnant and were paid off. It usually ended very badly for the girls. I dont know if a lot of these guys ever grew out of it, because then it became a symbol of their attractiveness if they could get a girl in her 20s (like Rod Stewart) when in middle age. As Pamela des Barres once said "They do it because they CAN". It's only when the tide goes out you realize a particular thing exposes a real perversion, or a real drug problem, or a real psychosis. I think a lot of stuff was just covered up by lifestyle. I think the girls were flattered and had their heads turned and were in love with the guys -- and drinking and doing a lot of drugs. It's the guys who were irresponsible and unfair, because they were way out of their league to begin with in terms of experience. And the possibility that a lot of them were pedophiles is certainly disturbing.
