Subject: OH!!! I'm just so freaking out here
In reply to: Mystic 's message, "Ugh! Dating can sure wreak havoc on one's nerves!" on 15:52:26 12/24/00 Sun

well I finally got my date...he called to today, and we were supposed to go to the movies next friday.

found out he's 26 tho. I figured he was about 20, which is a lot, but well, 3/4 years, that could still work. 26...that is never ever gonna work. He told me on the phone today. First I was only like 'oh' and that was the only thing I could say. I was in shock! At first, I was like 'we can make this work', but then I was 'get a grip girl, he's 10 years older. That is NEVER gonna work'. Then I freaked and called Flo, who totally agreed with me, it sucks, but that won't work.
So, I called him again, saying I liked him, but that I didn't want to date a 10 year older guy. He said he liked me too but figured 10 years was A LOT.

And that was it.

I did get a text message about an hour ago from him saying nothing more but 'friends?', which is really sweet.

I swear, I am the only person on this earth such things happen to. I get stuff like this all the time. The last guy I liked which was around may, loved me for 2 years, but got over me like in april. How typical is THAT???

Dating isn't my strongest point, I'm afraid. Flirting is, but dating, not exactly.

Romy
