I wasnt planing on going on the Atkins diet. It never sounded right to me.
Atkins fans say its not about meat and that you can be a vegatarian and be on it but I dont see how. I read most of the book and the list of fruits and veggies you can never eat and the ones you have to eat sparingly.
Meat is a thing not to be eaten sparingly...Cheese and eggs are a big thing...BUT I LOVE THOUSE!
:-D

I will admit one thing though. I think I do have a blood sugar problem because if I eat anything sugary...even if its real...like fruit the last part of the night or nothing at all then in the morning I feel very sick and very tired.
But if I eat something with protein...say like half a tuna fish sandwich on a 12 grain slice of bread with a small glass of milk then I'm ok the next morning. Or one hard boiled egg with a glass of milk(I drink skim btw). Or a little bit of extra sharp chedder on a few whole wheat crackers...
Now during the morning and afternoon I'm ok with fruits and veggies and I love them, but I still have to have some kind of protein (dont have to be meat or a lot) I can feel my blood sugar drop like a brick.
I feel a wave of upsetness to my stomach and sudden exteam tiredness come over me. It dont last long and this has always happen to me...well for the last 15 yrs or so.
Too much cheese and milk...well then I get to the point I have to eat prunes if you know what I mean!
:-D

I didnt want to go on Atkins, I just wanted to see if anyone could tell me if they thought they could go on Atkins and keep the Word of Wisdom.

Thanks for your concern

Blessings
Jean
